TWENTYTHREE

THROUGH THE VALLEY  SHADOW OF DEATH  FEAR NO EVIL

-

For all of human existence, there have been angels assigned to each of us to watch over our lives, protect us when we need it and guide us down the path we are meant to follow according to God's plan. Part of this plan has also been to protect mortal souls from those

of the underworld who would gladly enslave us and turn our acts toward evil. For millenia, this arrangment seemed to be working and, though there was often talk amongst the angels of the liberties of humans and the duty of their kind, life continued on without any major changes to the roles and responsibilities to these groups.

One day by some twist of fate these three different groups

became equally mortal and capable of experiencing all the things humans have enjoyed since they were created in His image. For some, the reality of angels and demons among humans is far too much to withstand. Some angels flee from their duties to enjoy

the pleasures of the flesh and live a mortal life amongst humans, distinguished only by their unique marking. Others decide to maintain their "charges" and continue the fight of good versus

evil. Still another group becomes torn on where they fit in this

new world, and wander to decide for themselves who they will serve; themselves, or God.

Caught up amongst this chaos is a young man named Jacob, who holds a secret that few in heaven or hell know about. Even fewer beings would know what to do with him should they find out.

This seemingly uninteresting person does not realize that he will become a major player in the future of all beings on Earth.

This collection of stories begins in three parts: Through the

Valley, Shadow of Death, and Fear No Evil. Written to explore

the question "What if angels and demons walked among us

freely," these stories aim to explore, inspire and even terrify

what many throughout history have believed to be true in their hearts, but most have not experienced first hand.
